Abstract
In this paper, the prediction problem of future failure times from Burr-XII distribution based on generalized type-
II progressive hybrid censoring scheme (GTIIPHCS) is considered by using maximum likelihood (ML) and (Bayes)
methods for one and two-sample prediction schemes. Point and interval predictors, denoted by PP0s and IP0s, of future
failure times are computed based on simulated and real data. A comparative study is carried out between the two methods
using the mean squared errors (MSE0s) and the relative errors (RE0s) criteria.
